Background
Living Legacy Community Memorial is a dream that became a reality which represents
restoration of people and communities. Masaya Mura came to see communities and people
shrouded in pain and helplessness inflicted by the tragic grip of violence and senseless
murders. Violence,
pain and helplessness, each of these feed and grow off the other, each has destabilized families,
and each threaten the future of our next generation. Mr. Mura's response was to create an
organization that could assist in the healing of families, and to reach people before they
lash out in violence.
Determined to have a role in assisting communities and people, he decided to make
a difference by teaching individuals that they are a “living legacy” and must pass successful
skills and habits on to their next generation. He would pay tribute to those lost lives and
in the process he would honor their memories, heal and assist in educating communities and
create safe, comfortable havens for families to receive much needed assistance that is sought
but at times not found.
Mr. Mura has reached out to other community organizations and formed partnerships to provide a comprehensive program that is best equipped to serve (help/heal/restore) the community

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a living virtual and physical memorial to honor those
killed through violence.
Additionally, it is our intent to create safe,
comfortable and convenient environments in which the loved ones who are suffering
a loss can receive the needed assistance
necessary for their well-being.

Living Legacy Community Memorial is committed to making our vision
a reality to help our local communities to combat the roots of violence through
education and outreach. We will not stop our efforts to create peaceful neighborhoods
and to support those who are in need of our services.

Our Mission
It is our mission to give a voice to the voiceless; to make certain that no senseless death
be forgotten. We intend to honor the lives of those murdered
and to make certain that no parent's child will have died in vain.
It is our intent to assist in the healing process for those in grief. This goal will be reached by creating memorials
to those murdered and by creating villages of healing, one step at a time, one day at a time.
